Sad News :-( ` ` ` `
Well guys, I got the news today that the lump on my rear, along with about ten other lumps all over my body, are all mast cell tumors. I overheard the vet telling my human daddy that they should keep me comfortable, but I don't know what they're talking about cuz I feel just fine! That's if you don't count the times I've bumped my head, but I don't move very fast, so it doesn't hurt too bad. My humomma's face is all wet because she's worried about me and doesn't want me to get any worse. They did find something new in a catalog for cataracts that they're going to order so at least they can try to help me see better and I'm still eating the Tumor Time with my food. Anyway, just thought you'd like an update on my lumps. Oh.... hudaddy calls me Mr Lumpy now.... how funny! Hudaddy calls me Mr T cuz she says I'm a tough guy!

Our dear lumpy friend. It is with sadness that we receive your news of a wet faced mama over the mast cell lumps. However, those are just words to us really, we don't really know what's going on. So your mama can rest assured, as long as you are comfortable eating and still have your spirit, it's going to be ok. We know you are a tough warrior so these news won't even shake you. But please look after your humans, they might need some suppawrt.

Oh no, Tucker! That news makes me sooo sad! I've never met you in person, of course, but even still I am very, very upset about this news! There's nothing the vet can do about these tumors? At least you feel fine and you are eating and enjoying your parents company! Feel better, my friend!
ReplyDeleteDear Tucker...that is truly bad news about the tumors...but we feel sure that as long as you are comfortable and loved by your hoomans, you will be strong and brave. We will keep your warrior heart in our prayers.

Tucker! You are wonderful lumpy or not. I know mom and dad will keep you comfortable, but they might have leaking eyes a bit while they do it.

Oh Tucker, that makes us so sad and here you are trying to be so upbeat and cheer us up. Give your Mom lots of slurpy kisses and tell her to hug you lots and take lots of pics. We hope they can keep you very comfortable - we love you, Tucker.

Oh Tucker. It makes us sad to know how sad your humans are ... especially your moma. We know terriers are tough, though ... even when they are lumpy. Our gramma's yorkie is a good testament to that. Almost a year after her lumps showed up, she just made the trip to Yellowstone with us ... and she has enjoyed lots of travel and family time. And SHE'S comfortable, too. We know it. (She's been playing like crazy, with MY toys!)
ReplyDeleteSo. Here's your job. Show them what a tough terrier can do. We are the BEST at cheering up sad humans. WE have the spirit for living ... a good life. Wag your tail and make 'em smile. And in return, they'll do all they can to make sure you are comfortable and happy. You might even get some good treats out of the deal, let alone some new eye medicine.
Paws crossed, with lots of love

Oh handsome Tucker...we do so wish you could see...if only to look in the mirror and see what an adorable foxy you are...(Lacie fans herself!)
ReplyDeleteAnd dear boy we read about those lumpie bumpies...but you're so right...we're dogs...and live for the moment...and Tucker...we so think you're gonna have quite a few more moments!!
Want you to know how much we love ya dear Boy...now go get ur Mama a kleenex and tell her just the act of givin' ya a treat should cheer her up...
Love ya bucketsful!
Lacie, Stan and Scruffman

Dearest Tucker - My boy, who is pictured in my profile photo, was also named Tucker. He was the best thing in this whole wide world. I've never known a Tucker who wasn't noble and true, and full of all the best things this world has to offer. I also called him Mr. T -- in addition to The T-Ball, T-Bone, Lucky Tucky, Pony Boy, and Kentucky Moon Shine! I know he is raining smiles down on you and watching over your lumps and bumps!! You know what they say, it's good to have friends in high places!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there and give those lumpy bumpies hell!!
Hi Tucker,
ReplyDeleteI know your hoomans will do everything they can for you and give you all kinds of love!!! I'm sorry you have horrible tumors. Mom says that Cancer sucks....I think we all believe that!
Mom and I will be sending you air woofs, hugs and prayers!!!

Oh Tucker we are so sorry to hear about your lumpies. Our mama has had both cataracts and cancer & she's still with us, so we'll hope for the best for you too. There is an eye clinic for animals in Scottsdale and also Gilbert, Arizona where they do cataract surgery. We don't know anyone who has actually had it done on their pooch though. Paws crossed for you dear boy.
