Sleeping on the job

Here I am sleeping while my Humomma gets ready to paint the buffet.

and here I am sleeping after she painted it. Echo thought I looked rather silly with my head up against the water bowl, but you see, that's how I claim ownership. It really doesn't stop the other four-leggeds from drinking, they're just a little neater so they don't slop water all over my head.

Well I DID move a bit! Can't get too far from that water bowl ya know, and this way I don't have far to walk to get outside. How do ya like that new paint job? Momma said she needs ideas for new door and drawer knobs. She's going for a Tuscan theme in the room. Pretty much everything has to be redone, so I'll be supervising her eventually while she paints the walls, trim, ceiling. Hmmm, wonder if they'll take me shopping when they go to find a new table and chairs? I bet I could point to just the right ones, don't you? *snicker*

Oh I almost forgot to give you a report from my latest visit to the doc. The prednisone is shrinking the tumors, BUT she only gives me 3 to 6 months to live.... excuse me while I wipe the water off my momma's face since she has to do all the typing for me these days.... Anyway, I don't know what all the fuss is about cuz I feel just fine and love all the attention I'm getting! I'm sure Charmin has already reserved a special place for me and just can't wait to run and bark at me when I get there. We'll both have the spring back in our legs and 20/20 vision and will be the King and Queen of the whole shebang!

  1. Tucker..we are glad to know that the prednisone is keeping you more comfy, but so sad to hear the v.e.t.s opinion on your life expectancy. Like your HooMom, we know we will miss you, even while we see your wisdom in looking forward to life at the bridge. You are such a brave terrier, you give me something to live up to.

  2. We hope the vet made a math error and forgot to multiply those numbers by, like, ten.

  8. One day at a time, sweet Tucker. One day at a time.

We haven't been reading much lately, but wanted to stop by and see how you're doing. We're glad to see you resting AND snoopervising. You are a pro. And we are quite impressed with you.

Remember Chloe? Gramma's Yorkie who was diagnosed with canine lymphoma well over a year ago? Who was given only one month to live in February? Well. She's still going strong. Been to Colorado and back. Camped in Yellowstone and walked in the Tetons. Now she's resting and snoopervising yardwork in Florida. She said she sent you lots of the same positive energy she's been gettting fueled by. That, and lots of love from all of us.

One day at a time, sweet Tucker. One day at a time.

    Love

  9. Tucker, that makes us very sad to hear those numbers. We really hope the vet was wrong. Besides who is going to guard that water bowl?
