Tucker's Farewell Message

This is a long slide show and for some of you (like me) it might require a few tissues along the way. Please sit back and enjoy some snapshots of Tucker's long and happy life!

  1. You sure were right about needing the tissues. That was such a wonderful tribute to a dog well loved. We enjoyed following Tucker through all his years, even though we haven't known him for that long. We know he is happy now and running around like a happy puppy with all the other happy and loved pets in his new home. Thanks for sharing your sweet boy with us, we will miss him too.

  4. Oh my. Moma is worthless right now. She's not crying. She's sobbing. Making so much noise that we're worrying over her. She went and got SweetMolly's special tin of ashes and is clutching them to her heart, saying only the belief that Tucker and Molly and Kizzy before her, and Sweet Chloe (our Gramma's Yorkie) and all the others (and there have been LOTS of them) that have been special parts of her Life are running free together.

We will all miss Tucker so much. You put together a wonderful Smilebox to commemorate him and pay tribute to him. We all hope you know how to burn that to a DVD, 'cause you are going to want to keep it for sure.

We hope you don't mind. We want to add Tucker to the Tribute part of our sidebar on our bloggie. We will always always remember him.

With so much love to his family, who we know ... WE KNOW is grieving right now. If you can bring these kinds of tears to your friends eyes, we can imagine the buckets that flow from yours.

Let your hearts heal with paws of love wrapped around you.

  25. Hi everyone, Tucker's mom here. I thought I was ready to write some nice thank-you notes until I read that last note from Scruffy, Lacie and Stanley, then the tears started up again. It's been tough on all of us, two and four-leggeds alike

Having all your warm thoughts and zen sent our way has meant the world to us and I want to say THANK YOU!!! Be watching for Katie the Border Collie to start posting soon on your sites. She has been very worried about me, as has our Golden Retriever Libby. Poor Charlie (he doesn't have a blog, but has been pictured here and on Katie's blog) went in to a deep depression for a while, but has snapped back and now follows me around. As you can tell, we're well taken care of in the furry department!

Tucker's almost birth sister (she's a cat that I bought the same day from the same pet store) constantly sits above my shoulders on this chair as I type. She misses her brother too.

Tomorrow will be tough, but we'll remember Tucker's bright and shining eyes, his high energetic jumps, his yoddling (as in the Swiss yodlers) ... okay this is just getting too tough, so I will close for now and come back another day. We have not stopped thinking about all of you.

  26. Oh Tucker's Mom...we found Heaven today...at the park...our favorite stump...Scruff and I tag teamin'...diggin' like mad...Stan shoved his Dale face into the hollow part of the stump and snorted!!

Scruffy found the chipmunk escape hole and the acorn stash...and started to dig..and dig...and dig...and Mumsie said in honor of Tucker we could dig and sniff and dig till we were exhausted...Scruffy worked on that hole long enuff we all could have read War and Peace...he even grabbed the vine roots out with his foxy teeth and scraped at the hole with his mouth...no...no rodents today...but OH WAS IT MARVELOUS...

And that dear Tucker's Mom is his Heaven...or at least part of it...(we're pretty sure there are large bowls of ice cream too....)

We love you and can't wait to hear from Katie...

And we're sorry we made ya cry...but we wanted you to know we're thinkin' of you...on the first day we went to your bloggie ever, we knew Tucker was special...and that's why we have him very first in our pack list...

    Kisses,

    Lacie Girlie

OK. We're gonna admit. Straightaway. No bones about it. We're taking the easy peasy way out. We want to get around to EVERYONE on our blog roll to remind you about the Second Annual Worldwide Moment coming up on Sunday 14 Nov 10. Were you there last year? Do you remember? We want you and everyone you know to have a chance to participate in the Silent Minute, the Candle Lighting and the Shout Out! Come visit. We've got a new banner for you, HTML for an (accurate, now that the word UNTIL is in red) Countdown Clock and a link to figure out what time 11:00 PM GMT is in your neck of the woods.

So. You're getting this 'cause we've been friends in the blogging world and we want you to know.

Please forgive the "stock" comment, but we told Moma we've never done this before and we'll not do it again (at least until next year.)

  32. Hi there. We have been away for a while and only just caught up with the news of tuckers passing. We just watched your little tribute. We cried our little noggins off but we realize what a long happy life he's had with you, his family.
We know that the hole he left can never be quite filled. But we know that you will cherish the memories forever and we know that he is still here with us in spirit. What a little man!
    All the best,
    Inky, Molly and family
