Video of me scratching

Guess who got a new toy today? NOT ME!!! Do you think when my humans went shopping they'd return with a new chewy or at least some treats???? AAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No way! Humomma got some tiny little silver box thing that sometimes flashes bright white lights and sometimes has a tiny red dot and has these strange round things that keep popping in and out of the front of it. Well she right away starts following me around with it flashing all kinds of bright lights at me, then I escape outside and guess what? Yuppers, she followed me out there too! But I was sneaky and slipped right under the porch swing where she couldn't see me... oh wait, I guess she did see me after all because she pointed that little silver box at me and just stood there for the longest time. Of course my little sis Katie HAD to walk between us, oh and Echo the cat made her debut too. Sooooo, for the rest of my days I suppose I'll be pestered by that little silver box. Hmmm, wonder if I could hide it somewhere? Any pointers???

Oh No! Where's Tucker???

Hey remember the other day when I told you that I had to run and hide because Humomma was going to brush me??? Well I hid really good... or at least I thought so because I didn't see her or Hudaddy for a whole day, almost two day. Instead of them I had to put up with my niece and nephew, Buddy and Daisy, but was happy to see Emily and Matt, my Husis and Hubro (at least I think that's how it goes...) Anyway, just when I thought it was safe to come out of hiding this happened... can you find me in this picture???

I think I'm in there somewhere, but no... wait, what's this?

Did somebody cut me in half??? Oh NOOOOOooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hah! fooled you all! Well it was me that got fooled in to thinking I could get away with the hiding trick...

Humomma said that since my hair was so thick and tangled (thanks to Hudaddy not brushing me right she said), the only thing left to do was shave it off. Eeegads, I hate that buzzing green monster!

It makes so much noise and vibrates and pulls my hair and gets really hot.

Phew, she's almost done! THEN I can escape! Oh did I tell  you that my sister Katie was watching out for the the whole time? Yeah, she even put her paws in my piles of hair and kept the cats away.

There's Katie with me now helping me to escape!

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I know some of you out there know EXACTLY what I'm doing under that porch swing, don't you? YUP!!! SCRATCHING my back! Oh that feels soooooooooooooooooo good!

Of course after a good scratch I thought I could hide in Humomma's den and just chill. But NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo, she found me and started flashing pictures!

Do I look like a happy camper? NOPE!!!!!
But on a more positive note, at least I don't have all those tangles anymore and everybody is happy!
NOW I think I'll go take a much-deserved nap! Ta ta!

Still napping...

It's been a while since I last pawed on here. Guess I've been napping! Yeah, humom got that old camera out and started snapping again the other day. Caught me with my three feline siblings. That's Echo right above my head (she thinks ALL the doggy beds belong to her!), then on the chair above her are Roger (BIG yellow tabby) and JC (TINY kitty). The two boys never bother me at all, but I tell ya what, that Echo sure likes to give me baths! I get mad and growl at her and then she runs away. My little sis Katie doesn't like Echo much at all and always runs her off when she sees her walking around.

My tumor has stayed pretty much the same, just seems bigger in the morning, but humom says maybe that's because of where it's located and that I have to go outside and potty. Anyway, I'm feeling fine and still jumping when my hudaddy walks up to the back door (cuz he gives me a treat every time he sees me!)

Uh oh, I just heard humomma say it's time to brush me and cut off my dreads! Hudaddy has been brushing me, but he doesn't do my underside cuz I wiggle too much, so now I have dreads... not a good thing according to humomma. Better run and hide now!

I grew a cat!

Hah! Got your attention, didn't I???? Tee hee hee... see me laugh! No seriously though, take a looksy at this picture and you'll see what I'm talking about....

After ditching the cat I went downstairs for a little nap and decided to hide in my hudaddy's slippers.

Well after a long winter's nap you know what all Wires need, or all canines in general...

Ahhh, much better now! Had a cat, had a nap (yeah all this time you thought catnap was all one word didn't you???) then had a drink of cold, refreshing water... what more could a guy ask for?

Here's to hoping all of you are having a relaxing weekend after Thanksgiving too!

Happy Thanksgiving Video of me Jumping

Video of me jumping!

It is taken with my humom's old cell phone and she doesn't know how to upload it here, so it's on her blog if you don't mind hopping over there (pun intended) to view it. That's my hudaddy coming in the back door at the end and that's why I was so excited.

Sadness for Snickers

Snickers has made her way across the Rainbow Bridge
and will be missed by family and friends. It is always so sad
when you have to say goodbye. She is such a precious
and beautiful angel.

Still hanging in there...

Just a quick update on my tumor. It hasn't grown or shrunk, so maybe the Tumor Time is helping, at least to keep it from growing. I'm still full of energy and determined to beat this cancer. My humom is still trying to get video of how I jump three feet in the air every time I see my hudaddy come walking up to the back door while he's playing ball with Katie, but so far no luck with the camcorder. Maybe she'll get to borrow one soon and get me taped before I lose my jump (yeah like THAT will ever happen! Who ME lose my jump? NEVAH HAPPEN!)

Monday, November 2, 2009

I broke the camcorder!

Well really not me, I think it was Katie, but when Humom tried to watch the Halloween video the camcorder ate the tape, then she wasn't too happy trying to take it apart and put it back together, THEN it was all jumpy and messed up, soooooo no video to show you. It was mostly the camera hog Katie anyway cuz I just stood there, as humans would say, "like a deer in the headlights!"

Halloween Pirate

Ok ya'll, don't laugh too hard, but here I am in something my humans call a costume. Can you believe they thought I'd look cut as a pirate??? Sheesh! All I could do for the first five minutes was just stand there frozen in time hoping with all my hopes that they'd come take this silly thing off of me, but NOOOOOooooo, they had to find batteries for the camera, then when there weren't any charged up they had to get the video camera out, then that battery went dead too. Humom said to tell you she'd get some video uploaded tomorrow that shows Katie and Charlie too. Katie was an angel (YEAH RIGHT!!!) I have to admit though, she did look kinda sweet with those wings and halo, but she thought the halo was bling and kept turning it around so it was under her neck. Funny girl! Oh yeah, we had two whole trick or treaters and Hudaddy took me outside to show the kids my costume... how embarrassing, especially when he told them about my cancer. Humom said he doesn't need to tell everyone about it, just tell them how handsome I am. I'd just like to hide in the corner and sleep! Well, I hope you all had a fun Halloween!

Yummy Birthday Mash (NOT!)

Here I am eating what they promised was yummy Birthday Mash, peanut butter, honey and banana with Tumor Time, but the banana didn't agree with my sensitive tummy. The REAL party will be on Wednesday when my niece and nephew, Daisy and Buddy get to come over for REAL treats!

Oh yeah, that big black nose you'll see is my little sis Katie who was eyeballing that Mash, but my humans didn't let her have it.

Happy Birthday to MEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

All together now, everyone sing:
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to MEEEEEE-eeeeeee,
Happy Birthday to me!

Since this might be my last BD I'm sure my humans will treat me royally tonight after work... or so I think I overheard them saying this morning. But then again it might have been my humom saying I was a royal paid in the patutty for making her get up in the middle of the night to let me out, then having to turn on all the outdoor lights so I could find my way back in the dark. Naw.... bet she was talking about a party for me! Don't ya think???

Say hi to my little sis Katie

When ya have a chance how about hopping over to my little sis Katie's blog . She's really not my "little" sis because she's a lot bigger than me, but she's about half my age and a real smarty pants. If you give her some encouragement she might even tell you some of my secrets since I can't chase her down anymore...

They call THIS a Wire Fox Terrier?????

This'll make you laugh folks... he might be wirey, but sure doesn't look like any of us wires, does he?

Wire Fox Terrier Picture

Ain't he cute anyway? He's at our local shelter at http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14659871

My hudad started talking about finding a replacement for me right after they found out about my cancer, but that makes me sad cuz I don't want him to be sad, but I don't want to go away and leave him, but I don't want to be replaced. Awww common, get real folks, NOBODY could replace me anyway, right?

Tucker tastes Tumor Time

My humans got me this stuff from a vet catalog that's supposed to help my tumor. They don't know what it'll do, but it's all herbs, so they figure it can't hurt. Here's a slide show of me eating it.

My feline sis "ignoring" the squirrels

In memory of my big sis Charmin, the original squirrel hunter (and the one who taught me how to bark), here's a slide show of my feline sis, Echo, pretending to ignore the squirrels. Enjoy!

Waiting for leaves to fall

This tree isn't far from my house. I'm waiting for the piles of leaves to fall in my back yard so I can jump in them! Oh by the way, this tree isn't IN my back yard, but the lake isn't far away and there are two other really big trees in my back yard that keep the squirrels happy.

Can't a guy get any sleep around here?

Just when I thought it was safe to take a nap...

along comes hooman momma and the flashes from the camera woke me up...

I think maybe tonight I'll start scratching in the middle of the night and wake her up too!!!

Oh, if you haven't see my niece and nephew's site, hop on over to Buddy and Daisy's and tell em I sent you over for a visit. My niece has a tiny little tumor on her face but, PHEW! it's NOT cancer like my big one! I was jumping for joy when her momma told me that yesterday!

Daily dose of entertainment

Now that I'm beginning to figure out how to type on this thing maybe I'll show you some stuff that keeps me laughing and entertained. The first picture below shows my little cat brother JC after he got a taste of some stuff called Catnip. I don't know what all the excitement was about because all it is is dried green stuff that looks like the leaves I roll in outside. Maybe since JC and Roger don't get to go outside they wanted to copy me, but they all sure looked silly rolling around on the floor!

You can see all three cats in this picture (l-r Echo, JC and Roger) taking a break from rolling around in the catnip. The box contains my momma's dried tea ingredients and she forgot it had catnip in there until the cats all showed up and started rubbing up against it.

Now I'll show you something that my momma got all excited about, running around to find the camera and so happy that she got actual pictures. Seems like the bird bath was empty, so our resident squirrel decided to use the dog bowl to get some water.

uh-oh... I think he spotted the camera...

Yup, it's off he goes...

Well that was fun while it lasted!

Hey can't a guy get any sleep around here???

So here I am sound asleep on my favorite pillow...

Then along comes Charlie and wakes me up...

Well there's just no rest for the weary when you've got such a caring little brother! Oh, see that sock on his back foot? He has lick granuloma... fancy way of saying he LOVES to lick his foot so much that it turns in to one big ouchy, so our parents figured out how to keep a sock on with double-sided velcro. The vet thought that was a pretty cool idea! Glad they didn't try that on my hurt paw. Oh speaking of my paw, the doc gave me prednisone and an antibiotic after saying she'd never see quite anything like it. Must have stubbed my toe really bad when I fell off the bed!

They tell me my days are numbered

I don't think I so much believe them, but the doc told my human mom and dad Saturday that I only have 6 to 8 months to live. Seems they found an egg-shaped lump where no lump should be, you know, right there alongside my, well, my man-part! Doc called it a mast cell tumor and had a very sad look on her face when she said since it came on so fast and because of where it was growing, the outcome was pretty grim. We all almost cried when she said her own dog wouldn't see his tenth year because he had cancer. Yes, so there, I said the big C word.... I HAVE CANCER!!! My humans cried when we got home and hugged me really big, but I don't know what all the fuss is about. After all, I've lived 13 of my expected 12 to 14 years for a Wire Fox Terrier!!! Now if they could just figure out what this very sore lump on my left back paw is from I'd be happy. It means another trip to the doc tomorrow, so I'll update you then. Later on I'll share some family pictures, but until then it's snoozing time around this house....
